Man Found Dead In Parking Lot On Long Island

Police are asking the public for help after a man was found dead in a downtown parking lot on Long Island.

The 46-year-old man was found around 6:20 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8, when the Riverhead Town Police Department was dispatched to a 911 call for an unconscious male located near a dumpster in the Municipal Parking Lot.

The officers secured the scene, then requested the response of the Detective Division and the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A preliminary investigation was conducted, revealing the man was not suspected to be a victim of violence or foul play.

His identity is being withheld pending the notification of his family.
